Is very important to always remember to trim your wick to 1/8 - 1/4 inch before lighting any candle.
Have you ever had a black suit appear on your candle, chances are you forgot to trim your wick, if a week is too tall, the flame will grow too tall and leave burn marks in the glass, and if the flame is large enough that it touches the container it can cause glass crack, and wax to spill all over your home.
Which room I can come in handy, especially when you’re dealing with cheap narrow and tall candles. If you don’t have a wick trimmer Scissors work as Well, but can become a challenge to use the further down your candle burns.
Pro tip: If you don’t have a wick trimmer and you can’t reach the wick with scissors, a pair of toenail clippers should do the trick!
Dancing flame does not make a happy candle
If you can try to avoid placing your candle around drafts or things that could cause drafts such as an AC unit,
If the flame is moving any direction other than straight up there is a draft.
A still Center flame is better for equally distributing heat and leads to a even clean burn. Eliminates tunneling excessive smoking and excessive wax around the inside edge of the candle. It also enhances the lifespan and fragrance throw because your candle is burning slower.
So now You have a few options, blow it out, use a candle snuffer or wicked dipper
With different candle snuffer essentially do the same thing, put out the flame lamp to work smoking. With a wicked dipper you push the work under the Hot wax then lift it out for the next burn. With a candle snuffer you suffocate the flame to exhaust it’s supply of carbon and hydrogen that’s putting out the flame.
If a spill happens the first thing to do is figure out what your candles made of,
Unlike soy wax Which can be clean with soap and water paraffin wax
Can be very difficult to remove.
Most spills will either heat it up with a hairdryer and then you can use some paper towels once the wax is melted to lift it off. Or let wax harden and scrape it off with a credit card or Other stiff edge
If I ask a spot on the carpet get some paper towels and an iron placed the paper towels over the spill and the heated iron over the paper towel the heat because the wax to be absorbed into the paper towel
keep all the candles out of the reach of children and pets never leave a candle burning unattended and leave your candles and in well ventilated spaces
